About The Artist


Helen Masacz is a painter with a growing reputation, having been selected for exhibition in the BP Awards at the National Portrait Gallery in 2004 after completing a BA Hons in Fine art, she was selected again in 2010.
 In 2005 along with other noted artists such as Frank Auerbach, Tracey Emin and Marc Quinn, Helen was asked by the National Portrait Gallery to contribute work for their exhibition celebrating their 150th anniversary. More recently Helen's work has been shown at the Royal Society Portrait Painters Exhibition 2011, winning the Art's Club Award. 


The work is figurative, often using family historical context to explore ideas. She also works to commission. 


Helen, of Irish & Polish descent, was born in London in 1964 and still lives and works there.
